Tunnganarniq Nunagijavut: Arviat - Johnny Mamgark, Dr. Storsley

 This week on Tunnganarniq Nunagijavut: Arviat, Connie Kalluak speaks with Johnny Mamgark.

Johnny is originally from Arviat, NU. He had been a Correctional Counsellor, hunter, grandfather, father, and a friend to many, before the illness. Johnny has a kidney disease and is in need of a new kidney. He has had to move to Winnipeg, Manitoba to be close to a hospital for dialysis treatment.

He will speak about his experience living with the condition and his need to find a kidney donor and what it would mean to his life for himself and family/friends if he finds a donor.

Charmaine Komak will also present a short interview with Dr. Leroy Storsley. Dr. Storsley is the director of the Living Kidney Donor Program at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He will speak about what the program is about and how it impacts those in need of kidney donors.
